Aisha McGill serves as the Chief Business Operations Officer at Koniag Government Services (KGS), reporting to the CEO. She is responsible for ensuring streamlined operations across the organization and leads the corporate Ethics and Compliance Program, quality operations and process improvement, proposal operations, and marketing and communications. With more than 20 years of experience, Aisha has been pivotal in stabilizing the organization through significant growth and positioning KGS as a strong competitor in the GovCon marketplace.
Since joining KGS in 2018, Aisha has made a significant impact. With a focus on future-state, she established foundational processes and procedures to enable the organization to scale seamlessly through its aggressive growth trajectory. Aisha transitioned the company from a primarily outsourced model to a robust internal service center. Under her leadership, KGS has established a platform that enables employee engagement, facilitates exceptional delivery and supports extensive new business initiatives.
Aisha established and led the KGS Business Development and IT departments prior to transitioning their executive ownership. Notable accomplishments during her oversight of Business Development include establishing the KGS full-lifecycle capture and proposal process, designing a SharePoint pipeline management tool and BD portal, and standing up a high performing proposal and GWAC organization. During her oversight of KGS IT, Aisha spearheaded a comprehensive data migration project, organizing and securing decades of disparate enterprise data into a collaborative cloud environment. This initiative has improved data retrieval and sharing, supporting the company’s secure and efficient operations.
In 2022, Aisha successfully launched and assumed the presidency of KGS’s new Health Line of Business, further diversifying the company’s portfolio and driving growth. She was dual-hatted in this role until transitioning it in April of 2024.
Prior to joining KGS, Aisha’s career included leadership roles where she was instrumental in leading growth strategies and preparing these companies for acquisition. Her expertise in business operations and strategic development has been a key factor in the successful sale of these organizations, highlighting her ability to drive substantial value and growth,
Aisha holds a Bachelor of Science degree from James Madison University where she also earned her Six Sigma certification. She has further honed her skills through industry-focused programs at the George Mason School of Business and Harvard Law School. Over her two-decade career in the Government Contracting industry, she has consistently demonstrated exceptional business acumen, contributing significantly to the stability, growth and sale of multiple organizations.
Aisha is committed to developing future leaders and supports employee leadership development through external and internal programs, including the Voyager program through ACT-IAC. She also plays a key role in KGS’s scholarship initiatives, partnering with the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) and the Alaska Native Science & Engineering Program (ANSEP) to promote STEM education and career opportunities for indigenous communities. She also established the KGS Internship Program to attract and develop entry-level talent and launched Communities of Practice to foster career growth and mentorship within the organization.
