Mr. Burkart is the Operating Group President for Information Solutions and Cyber Security for Koniag Government Services.  He has 25 years of hands-on IT and Cyber Security experience, and is an expert in Cyber Security, Cloud, Virtualization, Linux, Unix, and Microsoft technologies. His expertise with Design/Architecture is both broad and deep. He has also managed multiple classified data center integration, large-scale data center migration, and Cyber Security programs for DHS, DOD, NNSA, FEMA, USAID, and others. Mr. Burkart’s skills are leveraged frequently to brief Federal Cabinet Level Agency Executive Leadership from the CIO to Secretary level where he delivers technical information to stakeholders to facilitate effective risk decision making. Mr. Burkart presently runs a portfolio of Cyber and Operations and Maintenance programs across various government agencies performing Policy and Governance, Computer Incident Response and Forensics, FISMA Compliance, Security Engineering, Threat Intelligence, Insider Threat and Counterintelligence, Training and Phishing Threat Reduction, M21-31 SIEM expansion and maturation work and significant O&M programs.

Brian Smitches is a Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services (AWS) of 3.5 years. Brian supports Federal Partners as a technical advisor when architecting cloud solutions and maturing their offerings and operations. Brian has an interest in Infrastructure as Code, automation, and full stack development.

Brian has an MS in IT and Management from University of Texas at Austin and a BBA in Management Information Systems.

Driven by a passion for continuous learning and professional growth, Paul holds several certifications, including Service Oriented Architecture, SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), Cloud Architect, ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), and Security+.

Paul has a notable track record in implementing METOC (Meteorological and Oceanographic) systems, with over 6 years of experience developing METOC systems for NAVOCEANO and CNMOC. His deep understanding of METOC systems and their applications has allowed him to successfully deliver advanced solutions to clients.
