Matthew Carle serves as the President of the Defense and Intel Line of Business at Koniag Government Services (KGS). Reporting directly to the CEO, he oversees a team of four Operating Group Presidents who manage nearly 1,000 employees working on 110 active contracts across multiple federal agencies. Matthew is fully responsible for the Line of Business’ growth and operations, with a focus on helping Defense and Federal Civilian organizations optimize investments in their people, processes, and technologies to achieve maximum mission performance.

With over 25 years of experience in public and private sector management consulting, Matthew specializes in strategy, systems engineering, organizational change, program management, and information technology. He joined KGS in 2012, initially driving growth within the Department of Defense’s Office of the Secretary of Defense. Before joining KGS, he held roles in program management and enterprise architecture, supporting a diverse range of government clients in project management, business engineering, technology integration, and security.

In 2023, Matthew was recognized by Washington Exec as one of the Top National Security Executives to Watch.

Matthew holds a Master of Science in Engineering Management from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Ohio University.
