Ray Coleman is Chief Information Officer of Koniag Government Services (KGS). Reporting directly to the CEO, he is responsible for maintaining and improving the organization’s internal technology tools and processes to maximize company productivity and ensure that the technological functionality supports the overall strategic vision of the company. Ray joined KGS in 2022 and has extensive experience leading enterprise IT modernization initiatives for the Department of Defense and Federal Civilian agencies.
Prior to joining KGS, he served as Executive Program Director, Cloud Management Office, for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Prior to the IRS, Mr. Coleman was Chief Information Officer for the Defense Contract Management Agency and he rose to the position of Chief Information Officer at the United States Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service, after holding the post of Chief Information Security Officer. Previously, Mr. Coleman owned an Independent IT Security Consultancy.
Ray was recently recognized as a Top CIO to Watch in 2024 by Washington Exec.
A graduate of Strayer University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Internetworking Technology, he also graduated from the Defense Acquisition University, attaining a DAWIA Level III-Information Technology. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Army.
